Off again

First off, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a great holiday and is now officially ready for the holiday season. I know I sure am. Something about seeing Santa in the Macy's Parade always gets me excited and ready for the holidays. When I found out this year that I would not be at the Broadmoor for the start of their holiday season I was very disappointed, but when I found out we would be in New York everything was better. I am so excited to go to New York tomorrow and see how they celebrate the holidays. I think it will be a great atmosphere and I can't wait to take it all in.

We leave tomorrow morning and get to New York around 7 pm. We will be in New York for 2 days and leave on Sunday to go to Lisbon, Portugal. We will be in Lisbon for 3 days and then we go to Barcelona for 5 days! It should be another wonderful trip and I am excited to share it with you all again. Stay posted for new updates!

P.S - The Jamaica trip fell through this time, but we are still planning on going at a later date.

Happy Halloween

Well I think I can finally say, after almost a week of waiting, that I have readjusted to the time change. This week was rough for me adjusting, but I think I am just about there. I spent multiple nights this week awake until the wee hours of the morning, but hopefully those times have passed now.

This week I turned in all of my substitute applications so that is a relief to be done with. Now I just have wait until I receive the calls for orientation. I have learned through out this process to not hold my breath, so I won't! It sure is not a speedy process, but I think it will be worth while in the long run.
My mom moved into her new house this weekend so that was a long and tiring process, but she will be so much happier in the new house. There are still lots of boxes to be unpacked, but the house looks great.

So now, a few pictures. I know a lot of people are only interested in pictures anyway so here they are!

I went to my boss Aspen's house for a small Halloween party. Here we are! Pumpkin and Candy Corn.

Just me! And Moe too!

Up close...I loved my pumpkin make-up. Dressing up is so much fun.

I was sad that Kevin was unable to be with me, but I still had a great time. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I am already looking forward to next year.

Oh, one more thing....I know in the last post I said my next trip was not until the end of the month to Lisbon and Barcelona, but a new opportunity presented itself. Kevin and I will be going to Jamaica right before Thanksgiving (but we will be here for the fantastic Turkey Day). There is an all-inclusive resort down there that has a climbing wall that needs to be maintained, so that is what we will be doing. It will be exciting because it is a little different than the other trips. Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming trips!
