You only turn 24 once!

Yesterday was my 24th birthday and we had a blast! The celebration started on Monday, when a friend of ours (Jill) came down from Denver. Jill's birthday was on the 2nd so we celebrated both birthdays! For months Jill has been talking about going up to the top of Pikes Peak on the Cog, so that was our activity for the day! We went up on the 5:20 train and the weather was beautiful until we got to the top! The temperature was about 40 degrees and it was super foggy! We got to spend about 30 minutes at the summit, and when we got back on the train it was pouring rain - I was surprised it wasn't snowing! It rained the whole way back down to Manitou so I took a nap! The evening concluded with homemade mac and cheese and The Bachelorette Finale! It was a great way to start the celebrations!

And again!

On Tuesday, my actual birthday, we went out to lunch at Paravicini’s – my favorite Italian restaurant in town! The afternoon consisted of a visit to Pinecrest Event Center to get some information on hosting our wedding reception there! It was the first place that Kevin and I have been that we both really liked, so at this point we just need to figure out a few more small details and hopefully book a date in the next few days! We had dinner at the Tavern at the Broadmoor and then went to the Golden Bee for drinks! Kevin and I both tackled a full yard of ale, followed by a half yard – equaling about 9 beers each! We had a blast singing with the Piano man and celebrating with friends! A great day for sure!

Kevin bought me this dress for my birthday!

Happy with my yard!

Ashley, myself, and Amy! Not featured in the photos are also my mom, Julie (who went to Europe with us), and Chelsea (who I went to high school with and is now living in my mom's spare bedroom). Great friends!

Kevin was struggling! I was almost finished and it looked like he was just getting started! Not a typical scene.

I sure do love him and look forward to so many more birthday's with him by my side!
