We drove up to Squamish today. It was about an hour and a half drive, but it was well worth it. There was a ton of construction on the highway due to preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The highway was initially a 2-lane highway, but with the upcoming events, they are expanding the highway to 4-lanes. It was interesting to see none-the-less. We got to Squamish and went to the grocery store to get a snack before we started our hike and climbing (I also got some currency exchanged since we were unable to that at the airport or the hotel this morning). We got up to the climbing/hiking area and it was beautiful. There is a massive wall (1,800 feet) and then more bouldering than any one person could ever hope to ascend located in a forest of trees. We hiked a little and then Kevin and I both bouldered. I am very proud of myself. We stayed for about an hour or two and then we decided to come back to Vancouver. It was a great day! Here are a few pictures from the day.

This was the awesome forest
